INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the web site established by plaintiffs' counsel in the class action known as NTEU v. United States, No. 02-128 C (Fed. Cl.) (formerly NTEU v. James, No. 83-0278 (D.D.C.)). The National Treasury Employees Union brought this class action lawsuit on behalf of all federal employees who received special pay rates under Title V of the United States Code at any time during fiscal years 1982 through 1988. This site is intended to inform Class Members and other interested parties about the administration of the settlement of the special rates litigation.
| THE SPECIAL RATES SETTLEMENT TRUST IS NOW CLOSED. THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING A CLAIM UNDER THIS SETTLEMENT HAS PASSED. ALL ELIGIBLE CLASS MEMBERS AND SUCCESSORS OF DECEASED CLASS MEMBERS WHO SUBMITTED VALID CLAIMS HAVE BEEN SENT CHECKS FOR THEIR COMPLETE AWARD AMOUNT. THE DEADLINE FOR REQUESTING RE-ISSUANCE OF A CHECK HAS NOW PASSED. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE COURT-APPROVED DEADLINES. |
